DaRT Services in Mid and North Essex

The survey (link below) has been created to identify areas of improvement for the DaRT services in Mid and North Essex.

The survey will also be available on DaRT buses and the driver will collect completed surveys and arrange for them to be returned to Passenger Transport.

The deadline to return completed surveys is 22/12/2017 and we shall publish the results in early January 2018.

The survey is also available on the Essex Insight website  DaRT service online survey<> for those who have access to the internet.

Tickets available for just £5 from the Post Office or Mair (01371 850 620)

West of Braintree Garden Village – have your say…….

As you may already be aware there are proposals for three new garden communities across North Essex, one of which is known as West of Braintree and straddles the Braintree and Uttlesford district borders. Information is available on the North Essex Garden Communities website

The ‘Issues and Options Consultation’ is live and runs until Monday 22th January 2018.  This consultation is the first of 3 separate opportunities to comment on the proposals as they progress.

The document can be viewed on Braintree District Council’s website (hosting all of the garden communities consultations) where you can also respond on line.

If you would prefer to respond using a form please email the parish council.

Village Carol Singing

Tuesday 12th December
Wethersfield Village Sings Carols.

We meet on the Green at 5.45 pm
ready to set off around the village at 6pm, following our lit Christmas tree and spreading good will.

We shall be collecting for UNICEF
and end our outing at Wethersfield Club
at about 7pm, for free refreshments.

Please come along with us, it should be good fun.

We need carol singers, obviously,
but, if you would prefer not to sing,
we will also need people to knock on doors
and rattle their tins!

If you have a high viz jacket or arm bands please wear them and, oh yes, don’t forget the torch!

Annual TOY Service

Sunday 10th December 2017.

Bring a toy or gift.  All donations go to the local branch of The Salvation Army for distribution this Christmas.

Stay for refreshments after the service and help to decorate our Christmas tree.

All welcome

Iyengar Yoga

Come and join us for Iyengar Yoga!
Monday nights 19:45 – 21:15

What is Iyengar Yoga?

Yoga is one of the oldest systems of personal development in the world.  Its aim – to balance the body, mind and spirit.  Yoga asanas (poses) and pranayama (awareness of the breath) aim to reach all the muscles, nerves and glands of the body and promote physical and mental health.

The Iyengar Method

The Iyengar method of yoga is named after our teacher B.K.S. Iyengar.  The teaching helps you focus on correct alignment of the body in poses ensuring you’re working safely, with maximum benefit to your flexibility, strength and wellbeing.  Props such as blocks, blankets and belts are sometimes used to allow those with less strength or flexibility to work correctly and achieve their full potential.

Xmas tree decoration week of 11th Dec

This is the first year for some time that we have not held a Flower Festival in our church during the summer. As a change, and to do something a bit different for the Christmas Festival, we have been able to obtain some small Christmas trees to use as decoration in the church. We are inviting you to decorate a tree on behalf of your organisation. The choice of decoration is left to you, traditional or original, maybe promoting your club! The trees will be available from Monday 11th December to be ready for Saturday 16th when we will be holding an “OPEN CHURCH” from 2pm to 4pm with TEA AND MINCE PIES and CHRISTMAS MUSIC from Jessie Tabor and some of her young musicians.
