This project will be funded by Essex County Council but administered by the Essex Association of Local Councils.
The new Local Services Fund is a unique fund that will allow communities through Local Parish and Town Councils and other formally constituted groups the opportunity to directly prioritise, enhance, develop and grow local capability thereby making a real difference in the villages, towns and communities across Essex. This is a revenue fund and unique as it is able to pay salaries related to delivering a new service.
The grants available are £10,000 per bid or £15,000 over 3 years. There is an expectation of matched funding.

- Handyman Schemes
- Business Apprenticeships
- Hedge Maintenance
- Community Volunteers
- A Community Café
- Preventing Antisocial Parking, Litter Picking etc

Louise will check this prior to you completing the application form. Once the checklist is approved, you will be notified to complete the application.
Communities are invited to submit pre application checklists no later than Friday 27th October, application forms must be received by Friday 17th November in order to qualify for the first funding panel in December 2017.
The panel will assess the project, based on the information given in your application form. Your project may be rejected for funding.
The Essex Crowd is a new crowdfunding platform where you can share your community idea and offer neighbours, local businesses and other interested parties the opportunity to pledge their support to make your idea a reality. This fund will be managed by Essex County Council only.
